Preparation
- Partially freeze the flank steak or sirloin for easier slicing.
- Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips.
Cooking
- Heat a large pan over high heat until very hot.
- Add the sliced beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned, cooking in batches if necessary.
- Add soy sauce or hoisin sauce to the pan and stir in the vegetables.
- Continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with sesame seeds and optionally sriracha.
Notes
For best results, do not overcrowd the pan, and pat the beef dry before cooking. You can pre-cook the vegetables if you prefer them softer.
