Method
 

Preparation and Seasoning
  1. Remove pork chops from refrigeration 15 minutes before cooking to ensure even temperature distribution. Pat each chop completely dry using paper towels.
  2. In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, thyme, salt, pepper, brown sugar, and cayenne.
Oil Application and Seasoning
  1. Brush both sides of each pork chop with olive oil. Generously apply the spice mixture.
  2. Allow seasoned chops to rest for 5 minutes.
Air Fryer Setup
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  2. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
Initial Cooking Phase
  1. Place pork chops in the air fryer basket without overlapping.
  2. Cook for 6 minutes without opening the basket.
Flipping and Final Cook
  1. Carefully flip each pork chop using tongs.
  2. Cook for an additional 6-8 minutes, depending on thickness.
Temperature Verification
  1. Insert an instant-read thermometer into the thickest portion of each chop to verify a temperature of 145°F (63°C).
