Method
 

Preparation
  1. Season the sirloin tip roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and optional herbs.
  2. If desired, brown the roast in a pan before placing it in the slow cooker.
  3. Place the roast in the slow cooker and add broth, onions, carrots, and potatoes.
Cooking
  1. Cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or on high for about 4 hours until the meat is tender.
  2. Let the roast rest for 10 minutes after cooking before slicing against the grain.

Notes

For best results, resist opening the slow cooker during cooking to maintain heat. Leftovers can be frozen in broth for later use.
